I am a freelance writer and perpetual student of Chinese language, based in Beijing for the last two years. This is my much neglected record of writing and thoughts on Chinese and East Asian culture, history and current affairs.
The blog name, ‘Orienteering’, intends to reflect an underlying interest in geography, as well as an exploratory purpose, hoping to make unheard voices heard and unknown facts known from a part of the world still frequently objectified as the incomprehensible and bizarre East.
That’s all for a short explanation of what this blog intends to cover. I hope that readers will find something of interest here.
